It has to be pointed out that the ordinary statistics returns should have been enclosed and sent with Mr. Stegrade's despatch in accordance with the usual practice. In addition to those sent earlier, a further despatch was made on the 826th, but it was numbered 1072.
Supplies were made in accordance with the 1881 Returns enclosed (in despatch of July 1882, No. 27) to the Governor.
